Black Mango, an extrait by Borntostandout released in 2025 and created by Violaine Collas, begins with a vivid image: sinking your teeth into a perfectly ripe mango. That idea shapes a composition built on contrast, placing tropical abundance against elegant darkness, immediate fruit pleasure against a deeper, more smouldering sense of desire.
The opening puts mango firmly at the centre, lush and juicy, sharpened by the brightness of orange EO. This is not a sheer or airy fruity start; it has body, texture and ripeness, evoking glossy flesh and natural sweetness at its peak. From the first moments, the fragrance conveys a very tangible kind of indulgence, the almost physical satisfaction of fruit captured at the exact point before excess.
In the heart, the composition turns creamier and more enveloping. Mango lassi extends the fruit into a smooth, almost drinkable texture, while bourbon vanilla adds warmth and rounded depth. Tolu resinoid brings a balsamic density that gently darkens the blend, and Sublimolide enhances a velvety, skin-like sensuality. At this stage, the perfume moves beyond a tropical profile and settles into something more intimate, richer and quietly magnetic.
The base secures that tension between sweetness and shadow. Oud, leather, sandalwood and cypriol create a dry, smoky, woody foundation that supports the mango rather than erasing it. Leather adds shape, sandalwood softens the edges, and cypriol underlines the darker grain of the composition. The result is a unisex extrait that avoids freshness in favour of depth, contrast and a distinctly modern sensuality—ripe, creamy and deliberately dark.
