ART BRÜT is an independent niche perfume house led by Daniel Matousek, the brand’s creative director, who develops its distinctive universe from Berlin, far removed from conventional luxury codes. Its philosophy sees perfume as a form of personal and artistic expression, capable of reflecting the emotions, contradictions, and experiences of contemporary life. This vision comes to life through fragrances with evocative and provocative names such as German Angst, Wet Dreams, Übermut, and Weltschmerz, which capture the brand’s irreverent, free-spirited, and deliberately imperfect character.
The fragrances are developed in Paris in collaboration with the perfumers at FLAIR Paris, while production takes place in Europe together with Dirnberger Mühle, an independent, family-run cosmetics manufacturer in southern Germany.
